On the whole, Raaz 3 is a raaz I wish Vikram Bhatt had kept to himself.
The only good thing about Esha Gupta is that she looks like a younger, prettier version of Lara Dutta. Emraan Hashmi is Emraan Hashmi, need I say more? He does however, look, much more attractive than his usual self. She fits perfectly in the part of a fading starlet (I wonder why?). Well, let me rephrase that: Bipasha Basu is hot and that, my friends, is not a terrible thing. I wonder if the Bhatts believe that music, like stories, is also of seven main types, hence every song must be inspired from another song. The music of the film, as we already know, is also “inspired” big time from existing music. The choreography is so bad it makes you wonder if there might be a deeper meaning to the silly hand gestures being performed. Two words on the choreography: outrageously ridiculous. An overdose of 3D cannot make a bad film good, when will you learn that? Anything else you’d want me to pop out?” Really Vikram, that was so not needed. Look, Bipasha Basu is popping out (pun intended) too, and look I can even make a lamp-post pop out. Vikram Bhatt is like a little kid showing off his 3D technology: “Look, I’m making Emraan Hashmi pop out. The 3D effects could’ve been good had they not been so over the top. Basically, Vikram Bhatt takes a bit of this and a bit of that and churns out a whole lot of crap. Not that I say the 3D does wonders to the film, but had that novelty been removed too, Raaz 3 would've fallen flat on its face. Keep aside the story even the thrills and chills in the film disappoint you.
#Movie review raaz 3 movie
The concept of Raaz 3 is also “inspired by” or rather is an “Indianised version” of a whole bunch of other films ( read All about Eve, Poltergeist, etc). The movie is stretched beyond proportions and courtesy the pointless masala that he puts to dramatize the film it goes on endlessly. It’s not you, it’s Vikram Bhatt who has copied, or as the Bhatt’s would say “been inspired by”, entire scenes from films like Arachnophobia, It, Final Destination and The Ring. Among the most disturbing clichés that Raaz 3 reinforces is regarding the innate negativity of women the other adage that women themselves are their biggest enemies becomes true after considering the fact that a female writer has written the story of this film that so unabashedly berates women.ĭon’t be surprised if shots and even complete scenes in Raaz 3 look a bit too familiar. Raaz 3, in essence, is about this war between the spirits and how religion is the only force that is capable of winning this hypothetical battle. It is rather the repetition of one of the scene in the movie with few added elements.Believe it or not, Bollywood is still making films about black magic, evil spirits and holy spirits and the war between evil and holy spirits. The climax of this movie is not scary but yes its thrilling again for those who have not seen such drama before. The exorcists & Doctors overreacting expressions and the dialogues makes the situation funnier to those who already have seen such drama before. We get to see a ghost that is a dirty monster with the unreal mask & scars which we use to see in Ramsay brother's movie. Few points that makes the entire scary moments unreal, the evil spirit roams at a public place wearing suit pant, spy ghost with a scar mark on his face listening the conversation & informing the other ghost on telephone. In terms of scary scenes, yes there are few scenes that are scary and will shake the audience but millions of time we have seen something suddenly coming in front of camera with loud sound, so for few it will be scary but for few it will be not. This is the major point in the story that fails to portray a powerful heroic character of Aditya. Few points to note here, why Aditya agrees to help Shanaya in spite of the fact that he doesn’t believe in black magic, the writers may feel that it is because Aditya is a successful director because of Shanaya, but at a very later stage of the movie, Aditya clears the point in front of Shanaya that he is successful not because of her, but because of his own talent so if he had a point to not to destroy Sanjana’s career then why did he agreed to do at first place.
